The Atlanta Sports Boosters would like to thank everyone who helped make our 2017 “Sports Spectacular” a huge success! Though we are a small community, it is very heartwarming for such support. As we know, sports is more then just playing a game! The many attributes gained by being part of a team, carry on through-out life. Many thanks to the Thunder Bay Eagles #4077 for donating the use of the hall! The band, “The Remedee,” with Mike Walker, band mates Jeff Fitzgerald, Eddy Fellenbaum, and Jim Tobin, were awesome! Great job by Philomena and Ashley, Amy, Julie, Michelle, Mike, Tristen, Tina, Tawny and Bob Paul. Very nice seeing all the coaches there and all the Huskie fans that came, along with the many Fairview, Mio and Hillman folks! Congratulations to Jane Kidder on winning the Early Bird prize, 2 Tiger tickets, $200 Visa card and the “fan gear”. Top ticket seller for the coaches was Troy Cheedie (50) and overall top seller was Julie Morton (60). Through the generosity of  everyone who came out and enjoyed the evening, we were able to raise over $5,200 dollars! Each year, along with the “Spectacular,” Community calendar, and the Huskie Golf Scramble (this year, Sept 9 at Thunder Bay Resort), we’re able to help all of Atlanta’s sports programs. Not only school sports but also Little League and Youth Football! We help purchase equipment, hold clinics for our athletes and coaches, donate money towards the transportation of our teams, even pay $2 dollars towards each Atlanta student’s admission to all home sporting events.
